Located in Amrita Institute of Advanced Computing (AIAC) is one of the Authorized Training Centers for the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) for conducting the prestigious Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC). C-DAC is a national initiative of the India government that designed and developed the most popular PARAM 10000 series supercomputers in India. Courses include a Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC), a Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts (DACA), and a Diploma in VLSI Design. And, AIAC has recently added new courses to its program to meet the needs of developing industries for highly qualified personnel. The Structural Design and Research in Computer Technology (SDRC) is a course aimed at engineers and designers to manage computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing and computer-aided engineering systems. networking courses for designers of Internet systems. The Institute of Advanced Computing has been established keeping in view the huge demand for systematically trained software professionals in the IT industry and to function as an effective medium for academic and professional interaction between the Industry and academia. All programmes are designed in such a way that the participant will be imparted the latest technology with rerspect to their domain expertise. We have also established a Training Centre in Coimbatore city to enable the working professionals and other college going students avail our resources and facilities. The Diploma is a six -month, full-time residential course. The course is conducted twice a year, in February and in August. The unique combination of advanced course modules ensures its exclusivity and past students have been well received by the Software Industry. Two modules are taken up in parallel and 90 mts. classroom session would be held each day for each module. Rest of the time would be occupied in the lab on time-bound assignments, case study discussions, library preparations and participative encounters. Module wise credit is given on a continuous evaluation method. Cisco Network Academy Programme was formally launched in the United States on Oct 1st 1997.
