Jawahar Science College (JSC), Neyveli was established in 1987 with the generous help and cooperation of the Neyveli Lignite Corporation. The college is a centre for Higher Education and a unit of the famous Jawahar Education Society. This is a co-educational College, which was affiliated to the University of Madras till the academic year 2002-2003. From the year 2003-2004, the college has been affiliated to the newly formed Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. The college was started with job oriented courses in Science, Arts and Management.
