It was established in 1984 at the outskirts of Dindigul township as a response to the clarion call made by the public for a quality engineering institution in this part of South Tamilnadu. This prestigious institution, at present, offers 7 UG courses and 8 PG courses in Engineering and also MCA and MBA., The students in India, by and large, are inundated with plenty of choices at the higher education level due to steady rise in educational institutions, Any student who has just completed his higher secondary course and who does not have a specific plan will be bewildered forever in choosing a good institution from among many. As an answer to this question whether there are any parameters which enable an aspirant to demarcate a good institution from the rest-there are two essential parameters. They are the award of accreditation given by NBA of AICTE, New Delhi and the Best Engineering College Award given by ISTE, New Delhi., In this context, it is modestly stated that PSNACET went for accreditation in 2003 and got all its UG courses accredited for a period of 3 years. Since then, our institution made rapid strides in academic performance, infrastructure development, employability of its graduates, staff welfare, service to the society, strengthening its industry institution interaction, and research and extension work, These hardest efforts were well appreciated by the National Board of Accrediation (NBA), when the institution went for a renewal of accreditation in the year 2006. This time all UG courses along with MCA and MBA courses have been given 5 years of accreditation -the highest recognition that NBA awards to the standard, quality engineering institution., Now, PSNA College of Engineering & Technology is fittingly given the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan National Award for an Engineering College having Best overall performance for the year 2007, at the National level. the founder of the College was born in an agricultural family. He hailed from a village in the then Sivagangai District Taluk of Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu. Although he had an immense flair for higher studies, he was unfortunate that his wish remained unfulfilled. This had left an indelible and lasting impression in his mind. In order to quench his thirst, he pledged to educate the poor in a simple and unobtrusive way. With noble thoughts coupled with lofty ideals and great expectations, he decided to start an educational institution with a plethora of innovative concepts to create a host of talented professionals. He also felt that technical education was the need of the hour to meet the growing demands of our steadily progressing economy., In pursuance of his vision, he established Sri Rangalatchumi Educational Trust in the name of his parents, in the year 1984. Following this he started an Engineering College by the name" Pacheri Sri Nallathangal Amman College of Engineering & Technology" with the permission accorded by the Government of Tamil Nadu on October 1984. He had chosen Dindigul, which is economically and educationally backward district, with an aim to help the rural folk, to uplift their life style and to provide them employment opportunity. The present campus is located in a serene sprawling 150 acres of land on , the Dindigul - Palani National Highway - 209, 10 km from Dindigul town and has an academically ambient environment., It is to be highly appreciated that a philanthropist, dynamic and devoted person from a remote village has taken painstaking efforts to establish a Technical Institution with a vision that only technical manpower could contribute more for the overall development of the nation.
