About Arignar Anna College Of Arts And Science, Krishnagiri

Arignar Anna College is a self supporting co-educational institution affiliated to the Periyar University, Salem. It was started in the year 2006 by Lakshmi Saraswathi Educational Trust, Chennai. Our chief aim and objective is to provide quality education to the underprivileged and downtrodden families. It is located in the heart of the town, Krishnagiri.

The initial strength of the College was 240 students only. Now, the present strength of our students is 3864. We have a team of well experienced and well qualified academic faculty members, who are committed to duty, discipline and dedication by imparting true education. It offers fourteen Under-Graduates, and nine Post-Graduate courses and eleven Research Programmes (M.Phil., and Ph.D.,). Since the quality of education depends on the quality of teachers, our staff members are constantly encouraged to update their knowledge, skills and improve their academic equilibrium and qualifications.

Our vision is to impart holistic education to our students for their academic excellence and inculcating National and human values in them through academic, co-curricular and socially meaningful activities. To achieve excellent standards of quality education by keeping pace with rapidly changing technologies and create technical manpower of global standards with capabilities of accepting new challenges.

Mission
Education is a lifelong process reflecting the changing patterns of self growth, widening into relationships with others, nature and environment. In the journey through life, conflicts are inevitable, but education teaches us to respect the opinions of others, listen to it and yet not give up our own. Wisdom, tolerance and human kindness are needed today to break down the walls of separatism due to communalism, religion fanaticism and racism. Our students are taught yoga, meditation and communication skills to develop the qualities mentioned above. Our mission is to inspire and nurture young minds with noble and innovative ideas, committed human spirit and to passionately meet the global challenges.
