This polytechnic was established due to the initiative of Thiru.A.D.Jawaharpandian in memory of his beloved better-half, the late Mrs.Dharmambal in the year 1979.It was functioning at Valivalam Desikar Polytechnic upto 1986 as a women's wing. Due to the efforts of Thiru A.D.Jayaveera pandian, the polytechnic moved into the existing campus during the year 1986-87.Our Polytechnic is managed by a Governing council with Thiru.A.D.
