SSM'a library can accommodate upto 500 students and is open right up to midnight. The institute has always allotted a generous budget for the up gradation of the library. The journals, conference proceedings, CD-ROM service with COMPENDEX plus database makes up the library, the library has an audio - visual hall with a large collection of educational video cassettes and CD- ROMS. The author and subject indices have been computerized and it is also envisaged to go in for CD- ROMs which will further strength the facilities for archival research. Facilities for Photocopying and reprography are also available., A constant update of the latest developments in science & engineering is primary importance to the students. The excellent collection of, magazines on Textiles, Computers, Science, Management,. & Engineering and the IEEE proceeding serve as dependable companies of the students in their pursuit of knowledge. The journal section also provides reference services to the staff and students of other colleges and industries located in and around Komarapalayam and Erode.For any technical institute a strong infrastructural support is vital. Well - equipped laboratories are a part of all the departments at SSM. Constant up gradation is also done to ensure that the equipment is up to date. The workshop at this institution imparts practical training to undergraduates and provides necessary guidance and facilities for project work.
