Rajagiri Dawood Batcha College of Arts and Science (RDB College) has been established with the noble vision of imparting value based, quality education to the excluded and unreached segments of society. The college is situated in a sylvan and serene ambience in a sprawling area at Papanasam, Thanjavur Dt, Tamilnadu.The college is managed and run by the Nobel, visionaries M. Rabiya Begum- Chairman and Dr. M. A. Dawood Batcha Secretary.

The institution has well developed modern infrastructure facilities with well ventilated spacious classrooms, state of the art computer, and science laboratories, imposing library with the finest collection of books and e library facilities and a magnificent auditorium with a seating capacity of more than thousand people. The college has student strength of five hundred and seventy girls and one hundred and fifty two boys. The college offers three M.Phil courses, four postgraduate courses and fourteen undergraduate courses in various discipline. Dawood Batcha Educational and Charitable Trust was registered in chennai in the year 1998 uder the chairmanship of Dr.M.A.Dawood Batcha Ph.D., the trust has devoted itself in running educational institutions, espicially in rural arears. it started its first institution, namely, RDB College of Arts and Science in Papanasam, Thanjavur Dt in 1999. the RDB Institutions of Management, with the approval of all india council for technical education, New Delhi was inculded in this college in 2003. Two matriculation school- RDB National Matriculation School. Rajagiri and RDB Matriculation Higher secondary school, Papanasam - were added in 2007 to the list of the Educational Institutions of the Trust.
