List of facilities available at Sri Aravindar Engineering College, Villupuram for students.
A library is the heart of an academic institution. Our institution encourages all students and staff members to make the best use of the library that has been carefully built up since the inception of the college. The library is housed in a spacious area of 625 sq.m., fully computerized and air-conditioned with Reference Section, Magazine Section and Stack Area. Presently there are more than 36,000 books and reference volumes stacked for the benefit of staff and students. There is an established media resource centre. Our library follows the open access system and is encouraging students to browse in the stack area. The library subscribes more than 180 specialized journals, over one third of them being international. We are also a member of US information service (USIS), British Council Library, CSIR, Delnet, Malibnet, IIT, CII, Madras Productivity Council and Anna University.
-Constant addition of titles and volumes in all the fields of Engineering, Management, Basic Science and Humanities is the regular feature of our library. Every effort has been made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty.
-Newspapers, weekly and fortnightly magazines of repute are subscribed to enable the students to keep abreast of day-to-day trends. The library comprises of an Audio-Visual section equipped with videocassettes and CDs. We are having Barcoding and Internet connectivity.
-Constant addition of titles and volumes in all the fields of Engineering, Management, Basic Science and Humanities is the regular feature of our library. Every effort has been made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty.

BOYS HOSTELS
The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. Exclusively, three blocks are provided for men, accommodating more than 200 students.
The Boys' Hostel of 3020 sq.m has more than 25 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about 200 students of second year. The boys' hostel has separate library, reading room, shuttle courts and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have STD facility.
GIRLS HOSTELS
The college has separate hostel for women. Exclusively, three blocks for women, in all accommodating more than 100 students are provided.
The Girls' Hostel is constructed in 1330 sq.m. has more than 25 rooms and accommodates 120 students.
A separate dining hall covering 200 sq.m, to accommodate 100 students at a time, is also available in this block. The girls hostel has Shuttle courts, Table tennis and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have STD facility

A canteen is functioning within the premises of the College to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. A subsidized mess is also operative in the campus. A separate mess for boys has been provided.
SAEC Computer Centre, which is a central facility and provides computing support to the user community consisting of students, faculty, research staff and office staff for academic and office automation purposes.
The computer centre with a built up area of 2 * 863 sq.meters, is located in the Swaminatha Naidu Block with more than 1300 computers to afford computing facilities and Internet services.The working environment is open and it facilitates smooth functioning of the centre and effective utilization of the resources.
The Centre provides system administration and technical support which include Software installation, Network monitoring (both wired & wireless), Internet connection and digital library etc.
The Centre has a 155 Mbps dedicated Internet link.The Centre supports an institute wide fiber optic network and wireless that connects all the academic departments, hostels, library and other central facilities to the Computer Centre.It has a number of state-of-the-art Servers and licensed Application softwares.

The College has developed a perspective plan so as to provide the best facilities to impart excellent academic activities and to meet the demands of the industrial needs.
As per the perspective plan, the College over a period of 10 years intended to impart atleast four new UG programmes and Six PG programmes in Engineering / Technology, Management Science and Computer Applications.
