About State Institute of Education Technology

State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) at Lucknow focuses on the production of audio, video programs and multimedia. The aim of the institute is to analyse educational needs in district regions and to design non-formal educational systems. In-service training program for teachers in co-operation with SCERT are also provided. The institute has a team of experienced staff in the field of administration, engineering and production.

SIET, ETV programmes were broadcasted by CIET under the name of Tarang up to May 1998. Since 20th July 1998, SIET is broadcasting in ETV programmes through Lucknow Doordarshan Kendra at 10:30 to 11:00 AM from Monday to Friday. The broadcasting details of the ETV programmes are as under: Monday & Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday Ist & Iind Friday Other Fridays Class III Class IV Class V Teachers SIET Lucknow is also providing their ETV programmes for the National Telecast under the “Gyan Darshan” channel Telecast by Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.

Future Plan of New Programmes and areas: ETV programmes for High School & Intermediate. Video programmes production for other Deptts than Education as paid projects.
