It is one college which makes the difference:, Established in 1981 in a rented accommodation in Himayatnagar, the college was shifted to its own premises in Ibrahimbagh, Hyderabad in 1983, and was constructed at a cost of 3 crores of rupees in a plinth area of 2.40 lakh sq.ft. with full equipment, laboratories and training facilities. Its annual intake is 360 students and the total strength is 1440 in the four year B.E. degree course in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. The college also offers a 3-year Degree course in Civil Engineering With an annual intake of 60 students,and a Post-Graduate Degree in M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications). The college is affiliated to Osmania University and has received the approval of AICTE. The total staff strength is 190, including Professors, Asst.Professors, and Lecturers and Administrative Staff. Prof. P. Ramakrishna Rao is the Principal. So far, 15 batches of students have taken their B.E. degree. Several of them bagged gold medals from Osmania University and a good number have gone abroad for higher studies or jobs. A state of the art computer center has been set up at a cost of 1.5 crores. It is our earnest resolve to strive towards imparting high standards of teaching, training and developing human resources.", Founder, Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah, one of the veteran statesmen of Independent India, held many important positions in his lifetime. He served in the capacities of the Union Minister of State for Home & Parliamentary Affairs (1980-84), the Governor of Bihar and later, of Karnataka. Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah was born in an affluent family of agriculturists on 18th June, 1921 at Sanjamala, a village in the erstwhile Princely State of Banaganapalli in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. He took keen interest in the national movement while he was a student in Nandyal which constituency he represented subsequently for 27 years in Lok Sabha.
