Located in Karimnagar town is situated on the bank of Sacred River Manair. It is a beautiful busy growing Town with lush green trees and flourishing buildings with extended roads embodying large number of educational institutions. The Presence of ‘Lord Shiva’ at Vemulawada and Kaleshwaram has carved a Special niche for Karimnagar district. Raja Rajeshwara Temple at Vemulawada is well known as ‘Dakshina- Kashi’ and Kaleshwaram is known as one of the ‘Thrilinga Skhetra’ Karimnagar has close connections with the state Capital and cosmopolitan city of Hyderabad which is just 170 KM away and is also connected with Warangal Town by 70 KM road way which has railway links across the country. This town cradled so many eminent personalities like P.V. Narasimha Rao former Prime Minister of India, Dr C. Narayana Reddy a well known Telugu poet and Gnan Peeth awardee and Prof. G. Ram Reddy former U.G.C Chairman and father of Open University system in India and founder Dr.BRAOU & ‘IGNOU’ Prof. Jaffer Nizam V.C (K.U) , Prof. Navaneet Rao V.C.(O.U) , Prof.Anathaswamy V.C (K.U) ,Prof. Lingamurthy V.C (K.U), Justice Komuraiah Chief Justice of High Court A.P. Mr. Satya Narayana Rao the then Member of parliament Govt. of India and Dr.V.Kondal Rao eminent educationist and philanthropist strived hard for the sanction and establishment of the college which now imparts education to thousands of young women bringing education at their door steps heralding new era in the education of women in Karimnagar.This college was established in 1973 with a meager strength of 262 students and with two subject combinations. Then this college was housed in former Basic Training School in a landscape of 14.5 acre. But today it has grown in leaps and bounds and stands in a large green campus with beautiful garden and buildings including class rooms, library, laboratories, auditorium and Hostel accommodating 3,500 students in the campus. Most of the students hail from socially deprived classes like S.C, S.T, B.C and Minority communities., Keeping in vision the changing scenario and challenging trends in the modern society and its need we have introduced Re-structured courses also retaining conventional courses. Thus we have introduced growing subjects like Bio-Technology, Micro-Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Computer Science and Applications, B.B.M, H.R.M and Taxation in Commerce, which added new dimension and opened new vistas to the outlook of the instilling minds. Besides these we have introduced Post-Graduate Course in Economics, Commerce, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology which further augmented the glory of the institution. With the motto of “Service to mankind is service to God” we conduct Extra curricular activities like NCC, NSS, Red Cross, Consumer Club, Career guidance cell, Grievance-redressal cell, Film-club, Echo-club, Health-club and also Training in soft skills, certificate courses in Computers, Journalism and English.This college has UGC recognition under 2(f) scheme as well as 12(b) of UGC Act. Date of UGC recognition is 06th February 1991. This scheme enables to carry out minor and major research projects and to conduct National and State level seminars and staff to undergo “Faculty Improvement Programmes”..
