The Mamata Medical College (MMC) was established by the Mamata Educational Society in the year of 1998 and the medical college is situated in Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, India. The society was established by Philanthropists, Social Workers and group of Doctors with an objective of promoting education in Medicine, Dental, Technical, Management and other Para Medical courses. The MMC, Khammam is located in Khammam, a town that is well connected to the major cities like Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam by rail and road. It has obtained the permission from MCI & Govt. of India for starting 19 Post Graduate Degree and 11 Diploma Courses in different clinical and non-clinical departments in the year 2003, and has obtained permanent recognition status from MCI in December 2006. M.Sc. Medical Courses like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology are started in the year 2003 with permission of the NTR University., Located in the heart of the City of Khammam, this College attracts students from all over the Country and abroad. The advantage the students of Mamata have are an ideal ambience for pursuing studies, highly qualified and experienced faculty, proper facilities like air-condition class rooms, labs, library, auditorium, hostels for boys and girls, staff quarters, transportation facilities, sports facilities etc., and a large, well equipped, well staffed, and properly functioning teaching hospital., Mamata Medical College is the first private, self funded College to have earned final recognition from Medical Council of India as a Medical College, in the State of Andhra Pradesh with an intake of 150 admissions annually.
