Located in Sri Yerramilli Narayanamurthy college was established in the year 1949 in Narsapur Town of west Godavari on the banks of river Godavari.It attained the status of the full fledged college in 1956 and has been elevated to Post-Graduate level in the year 1989-90.The entire college is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and is spread over 14 Acres. It has an excellent accommodation with impressive infrastructure.Such as Administrative, Post Graduate,Physical and Biological Science blocks, permanent class rooms, spacious Auditorium, Library buildings for UG and PG, Gymnasium, Seminar Hall,Computer Labs for Both UG and PG etc.., The Alumni of the college comprises people from all walks of life IAS Officers, Eminent Doctors, Judges, Lawyers,Software-Engineers, Scientists what not including popular Thespians and Matinee idols of the silver screen., The Sri Y N College Old Students Association is the brain child of group of old students met on 28.10.2007 in Hyderabad. About 150 old students attended the meeting and proposed to conduct first ever Alumni meet of old students of Y N College in Twin Cities. The first ever Alumni Meet and Kartika Vanabhojanam was organized on 23.11.2008 in Indira Priyadarshini Hall, Public Gardens, Hyderabad. Around 800 old students of Y N College along with their families attended the meet and the meet was a great success. There were several programmes arranged that day like., Reverse Gar Guru Swamy and Kuchipudi Dance recital by prominent artists of Hyderabad. Later, the gathering was Welcomed by our founder President Sri Pallanki Subbarayan of the association. Justice G Bhavani Prasad., AP High court, Padma Shri M V Rao., former vice chancellor, Acharya N G Ranga University were facilitated on the occasion along with other prominent old students of college. They delivered and shared their experiences in that meet. There are some people who almost met after 30 years and felt the occasion as so special. All the people who attended the meet advised to hold such Alumni meets every year. We thank every one for making the first ever Alumni meet so successful., The subsequent 2nd Alumni Meet & Kartika Vanabhojanam was held on 15th Nov ‘ 2009 at Baliji Kapu Function Hall, Lower Tank Bund Road, Hyderabad . Around 1000 old students of our college attended along with their family members. The Prominent old students of our college Justice D S R Varma, Justice M Bhavani Prasad, Sri Sunder Kumar Das., IPS, Secretary & Correspondent Dr.C. Satyanarayana Rao., Principal., Dr. Narasimhacharyulu MVRK, Smt. K Manjusree., Dist. Judge were facilitated on the occasion. There were several Cultural Programs held and the total meet was organized in good manor and the team was lead by Sri Pallanki Subbarayan – President of our association. The event was part sponsored by Sri J V Sitaram and Sri Suman C Malladi our old students.
