University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore Department of Agronomy The Department of Agronomy, Agricultural college, GKVK is offering under-graduate courses leading to B.Sc(Agri) B.Sc (Ag Maco) and B.Tech(Agri & Engg) and PG courses leading to M.Sc (Agri) and Ph.D degree programmes. To cater the needs of B.Sc (Agri) students, 10 courses with 21 credit hours have been designed dealing with all the aspects of Agronomy recent fields of organic farming and integrated farming systems. For M. Sc. programme, 12 courses with 24 credits and for Ph. D. program 8 courses with 16 credits have been designed. Besides the PG students have to register for additional research (50 and 70 credits) and qualifying (2 and 5 credits), respectively. The department has experienced teachers with requisite skills to offer the courses and guide the PG students in their interested specialized fields of research. The department possesses well developed field unit and equipped laboratory for hands on training to expose students to various aspects of Agronomy.
