Moradabad Institute of Technology is an institution of higher technical and engineering education in Muradabad. It fulfills a long-standing demand of an engineering college in Moradabad division and nearby places such as Rampur, Bijnor, Budaun and Pilibhit. The Institute was established by Moradabad Educational Trust (M.E.T.), in the year 1996 under the Self Financing scheme of the Government of India, having obtained approval of the All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi & No objection Certificate from the U.P. Government. M.E.T., have made a pioneering effort of enlarging the gamut of engineering education in the state. They have clearly defined their objectives of advancing the cause of higher education and have unequivocally committed to provide high quality of engineering education and, thus, produce technical manpower of highest calibre, which is a vital requirement for building of our nation for a long time to come.
The M.I.T. is affiliated to the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohikhand University, Bareilly, which is responsible for the conduct of the semester examinations, declaration of results and award of bachelor's degrees to the passing out students.
