Located in The B.Ed wing established in 1974 is a part of Government Raza P.G. College, Khusrobagh, Rampur, U.P. established in 1949. The college runs UG and PG programme in the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce beside B.Ed.. The B.Ed. college got permanent affiliation from NCTE vide letter No. F.No. F-3 (UP) 52/B.Ed./2000/765 dated 24.04.2000. The B.Ed. course is being run as per direction of NCTE and M.J.P. Rohilkhand University to which it is affiliated. Being a Government college it is totally funded by UP Government. There are six faculty members and one technical and one administrative staff member. There are many H.S. Schools and Intermediate colleges, which serve as its teaching practice institutions. The total strength of students was 60 during the session 2002-03 and 2003-04. The temporal plan of academic work is annual system and the Unit Cost is Rs. 11324.63/-. The college has support services in the form of Library, Reading room, Computer Centre, Some Sports facilities (Indoor and out door), Staff Quarters, a small Canteen, Vehicle parking shed, Educational Technology Lab., Girls common room, Staff room etc. The University examination result is continuously good with more than 98% students passing and a good number of students securing first division marks in theory and practical., Criterion-wise Inputs, 1. Curriculum Design and Planning, The students for B.Ed. course are admitted on the basis of entrance test conducted by MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly which selects the candidates for B.Ed. classes following the rules and regulation framed by U.P. government and NCTE. The classes normally start from the Ist of August with total number of 180 teaching days. The students are given assignments. The co-curricular activities and seminars etc. starts along with the theory classes. The admission was completed in the month of July during the academic session 2003-04. There were 220 total working and 180 teaching days during this session. The students were sent to teaching practice in Govt. Murtaza High School and Govt. Zulfiqar High school, Rampur where each student completed 40 lessons, 20 each in two schools. The college has the mechanism to obtain feedback from the heads of practising schools, academic peers and employers on the teaching programmes. Oral review of practice teaching and suggestion for improvement of practice teaching are obtained from head of practicing schools. The feedback is used for improving practice teaching. The institution could introduce a new programme within the existing system as per instruction of the affiliating M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly and U.P Govt. The institution had not introduced any new course in teacher education during the last three years. In an affiliating system, the College has to implement the curriculum designed by the University. Interdisciplinary/ multidisciplinary strategies, learner centred pedagogy, promoting self learning, school experiences and community work are the aspects of the curriculum design adopted by the college.
