Late Chandra Singh Shahi Government Degree College Kapkote was established on 5th November 2005. This college is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital since 01-07-2006 and recognized by University Grants Commission under 2-F. Following subjects are taught in this college in three years B.A. course as per approval of Kumaun University, Nainital- Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Sociology, Drawing & Painting, History, Home Science, Political Science, Education and Economics. The college follows the policies and rules of Uttrakhand state Government and Kumaun University for Admission, Teaching- Learning Schedule, Syllabus, Academic/Co-curricular activities and examination. Right from its establishment this college is imparting education for the degree of Bachelor of Arts. From the session 2019-20 M.A. classes in Hindi, Sanskrit, Home Science and Drawing have been started.
