Government Polytechnic Shaktifarm was establish in 1985. This is most efficient institute in all over Uttrakhand.G.P.SHAKTIFARM is associated to Uttarakhand board of technical education Roorkee. Every year an entrance exam is conducted by U.B.T.E. Roorkee. After qualifying this Exam JEEP students are selected through counseling for G.P.SHAKTIFARM. There are various branches are conducting in government polytechnic SHAKTIFARM. The specific branches are available here which are ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING and CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY RUBBER & PLASTIC.

GPSHAKTIFARM has participated & excelled at local, state levels in SPORTS-team & individual games like cricket, football, badminton, T.T., chess, kho-kho, kabaddi etc., cultural and stage activities like, traditional dance forms, folk dance & songs etc. and various forms of arts like, theatre, mask making, drawing, painting, crafts etc.
