Siliguri Govt. Polytechnic ( Erstwhile Women’s Polytechnic, Siliguri) was established in the year 1995 in a rented building at Pradhan Nagar. initially two diploma courses namely (1) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (2) Architecture with 25 students in each stream used to be offered by this institute.In the year of Oct’1998 this institute has been shifted from Pradhan Nagar to its own building 1 No. Dabgram Colony, Since then gradually many other new & modern courses were opened in the Diploma level. The institute was renamed as Siliguri Govt. Polytechnic in the year 2004 after it was converted to a Co Educational institute. Siliguri Government fascinates everyone with its sprawling campus, beautiful lush green garden and Colossal building.
