Located in Kanchrapara College, a NAAC Accredited reputed institution of higher learning at the heart of a cosmopolitan township with a dedicated band of highly qualified teachers and an energetic group of non-teaching employees, was founded on 13th November, 1972 with its affiliation to the University of Kalyani. Having traversed a fairly long path in the course of 36 years since its inception in an ambience very much friendly and congenial to the dissemination of education and knowledge the college has registered an enviable standard of academic excellence., Housed in its own three-storied building, Kanchrapara College runs academic teaching in different subjects in B. A., B. Sc. and B. Com. (Hons. & Gen.) degree courses with modernized Laboratories and Internet facilities. In addition, the College has proposed to construct a new Science Building comprising an area around 60,000 sq. feet. The College has also introduced Honours courses in Microbiology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Geography, Environmental Science and also professional courses in 2D & 3D Animation and Multimedia. Besides, with Post-Graduate Courses in Hindi, the College owes much to the teachers, non-teaching employees, students and the present Governing Body for extending mutual cooperation in regard to its development.With the assistance of UGC, the College has already introduced Remedial Coaching and also Coaching for Entry into Services for SC/ST & Minority along with ODL Center of the University of Kalyani. Besides, Kanchrapara College has been credited with being the Partner Institute under the Convergence Scheme of IGNOU. Students of this College have been performing extraordinarily in terms of results in the University Examinations and out of them, some have qualified NET Examination of UGC also. The College runs in two separate Sections: Day & Evening as well as a regular basis., Our Vision: Goals & Objectives, The goals & Objectives of Kanchrapara College are to impart education at the undergraduate level and the Post-Graduate level (Hindi only) among students irrespective of Cast, Gender and communities and help them grow as responsible citizens of the country.
