Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has been awarded with an 'A’ Grade accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has also been acknowledged with the ISO 9001:2000 Certification. It is an affiliating cum teaching University that aims to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in the arena of higher education.

Educational Streams
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been making efforts to promote research, studies and extension work in higher education and professional education in various disciplines. The university has facilitated comprehensive teaching methodology and research activities with a focus on professional education in the disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Management Studies, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Education, Law, etc. IT fulfills the motto for promotion of technical and professional education by offering several undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Directorate of Open and Distance Education (GGSIU DODE) takes care of the distance learning courses and programmes offered by the university.

Facilities
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi has established hostels in the campus for boys and girls with excellent residential facilities which are open for all categories of students, but preference is given to the outside Delhi students. GGSIU provides all the basic facilities to its students like University Information Resource Center, Laboratories, Seminar Hall, Conference Hall, Bank, Auditorium, Playground, Enquiry Counter, Site Map, Xerox, Canteen etc. It host a fully computerized library named as University Information Resource Centre (UIRC)
