NEET UG is conducted in offline mode using a pen-and-paper format. Candidates receive a physical question booklet and an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheet on which they must mark their responses using a ballpoint pen provided at the exam center. The offline format ensures uniformity and accessibility for candidates across India, including those in regions with limited internet infrastructure. The OMR sheets are later scanned and evaluated electronically by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
