PG Diploma courses are postgraduate medical programs that usually have a duration of two years. These courses provide specialized training in specific areas of medicine but are shorter than MD or MS programs. Examples include Diploma in Child Health (DCH), Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA), and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO). However, in recent years many PG diploma courses have been phased out or converted into degree programs in several institutions.
