NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to postgraduate medical courses in India. These courses include MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma programs offered by medical colleges across the country. The exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). NEET PG serves as the single entrance test for admission to most postgraduate medical seats in government, private, deemed, and central universities in India. However, institutions such as AIIMS and JIPMER that previously conducted separate exams now also use NEET PG scores for admission. The exam assesses the candidate’s knowledge of medical subjects studied during the MBBS course.
