To be eligible for NEET UG, a candidate must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board. Candidates belonging to the General category must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12, while OBC/SC/ST candidates require a minimum of 40%. For General-PwD candidates, the requirement is 45%. The candidate must also meet the minimum age requirement of 17 years as of 31 December of the admission year. There is no upper age limit as per the latest guidelines, although this has been subject to legal considerations in the past.
