The mop-up round is a special round of counseling conducted after the main rounds of seat allotment in NEET UG counseling. It is organized to fill seats that remain vacant after the earlier rounds of counseling. In the All India Quota counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the mop-up round mainly applies to deemed universities, central universities, and some private institutions. Candidates who have not been allotted a seat or who have not joined a previously allotted seat may participate in this round depending on eligibility rules.
