NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). It is held for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma medical courses in government and private medical colleges across India. The exam serves as the single eligibility-cum-ranking test for admission to postgraduate medical courses under the All India Quota (AIQ), state quotas, deemed universities, central universities, ESIC institutions, and private medical colleges. NEET PG replaced several previous postgraduate medical entrance exams and is mandatory for most MD/MS admissions in India. The score obtained in NEET PG determines eligibility and ranking for the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state authorities.
