<h3>Department of Genetics</h3> The Department of Genetics was established in the year 1982. After the decision of Executive Council of the University Biochemistry course was merged in this Department and renamed as Department of Biochemistry & Genetics in year 2009. It offers programmes leading to the degree of M.Sc. in Genetics, M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Genetics. It imparts teaching and training in major fields like Plant Tissue Culture, Human Genetics, Cytogenetics, Population Genetics, Behavioural Genetics, Clinical Genetics, Biochemical Genetics and Biochemistry.
