his College & Hospital was established in year 1973 in the name of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal Popularly known as “Bhupendra Babu” by the social workers & elites of Scharsa Dist. to serve the suffering people of Koshi ravaged area which covers the several Districts of North Bihar. The Saharsa is the old divisional head quarter of the state. The college in situated in the heart of municipal area of Saharsa on the the Saharsa - Madhipura bypass road. It is running in two blocks in two pieces of land. The 1st piece of land has been obtained by purchasing and donation is 7 acres 45 decimals. The college has its own big building running the lectures theatres & laboratories of different deptt. on the other hand the second block of college land having 2 acres of area has been obtained on lease. There is also big building situated on this land covering the Administrative Block, In door & Outdoor Hospitals & other accommodation of the college.
The college was firstly conducting D.H.M.S. (Diploma) course and graded degree course.
At present the college is conducting the bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S. Degree Course) and B.H.M.S. graded degree course. The college has full fledged different department and sufficient facilities to import the teaching and training to the students. The college has well equipped out door patient department and well maintained 70 bedded indoor hospital to treat the suffering of the vast localities by the rational treatment like Homoeopathy. The college has sufficient teaching staff non-teaching staff. Medical staff, para –medical staff & others for the functioning of the institution smoothly. The teaching job is being performed by Tutors, Demonstrators, Lecturers, Asst. Professors and Professors. Every Deptt. is managed, maintained and guided by the head of the deptt. (H.O.D.). The Hospital wing is managed by the internees after passing D.H.M.S. & B.H.M.S. Exams. Medical Officers, Deputy superintendent, visiting physician form teaching sides and Hospital Superintendent. Finally both the sides teaching and Hospital is being supervised & administered by the principal of the college.
The college was firstly granted affiliation in the year 1974 by Bihar state Board of Homoeopathic Medicine, Patna to impart teaching & training to D.H.M.S. students for the two academic sessions. After the transfer of all the Homeopathic Medical College from Bihar State Board of Homoeopathic medicine to university of Bihar, Muzaffarpur for the affiliation of the college and conductions of Examination in Homoeopathic Course, the college was granted affiliation from the University of Bihar from the session 1976-77 to onward. After the imposition of Bihar State Homeopathic Siksha Sansthan Biniyaman Aur Ninayantran Adhiniyam (Bihar State Homoeopathic Education Control Act 1987), the college was granted affiliation to impart teaching in D.H.M.S., B.H.M.S. & graded B.H.M.S. Course by the Govt. of Bihar deptt. Of Health Medical Education & Family welfare. The Govt. of Bihar has also constituted the managing committee of the college & now the college is functioning under the supervision and guidance of managing committee constituted by the Govt. of Bihar Deptt. Health Medical Education & Family Welfare.
At. Present our college is duly recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathic (Govt. of India Deptt. Of Health & Family Welfare) New Delhi, Govt. of Bihar deptt. Of Health Medical Education & Family Welfare & affiliated by B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur to impart teaching & training in Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S. Degree Course).
