Arts And Commerce Girls College, Devendra Nagar
Our college has been established by Sindh Sewa Mandal Reg, Raipur in year 1982. The college has permanent affiliation with Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur C.G. vide its letter no. 1077, dated 19.11.1991. Planning of all the courses, educations and examinations are conducted as per rules and decisions of the university. Recognized by the Govt. and University Grant Commission, New Delhi, this college is highly popularized due to its outstanding features. Teaching in all the four faculties i.e., Arts, Commerce, Science and Home Science, is available at graduate level, while at post graduate level facilities of learning are available in Psychology, Economic, Sociology, Hindi Literature, Commerce and Home Science subjects. The college is also university recognized research centre for three subjects - Psychology, Home Science, and Hindi. So far, 54 Ph. D. degrees have been awarded to the scholars under the able guidance of our teachers and presently 3 scholars are continuing their research work for the degree of Ph. D., U.G.C./CCOST has sanctioned funding to 21 research projects of different departments and has also sponsored 2 National Level Seminars in Psychology and Home-Science. Since, its establishment, the students have been securing positions in merit lists of the university every year whose credit goes to our genius and hardworking teachers. The students of our college have also been performing outstandingly in sport and cultural fields. Many of teachers of our college presented research papers in national and international seminars. Our college has been successful in shaping all round personality development of students of the college., Vision, Aspiration to emerge as an institute of excellence for all round development with ethical and entrepreneurial values in students., Imparting a higher learning and value based education of global standards for betterment and upliftment of society., Increasing collaborations and linkages to fill up the gap between higher education and employment., Mission, To provide quality higher education and value based learning to female students at minimal cost., To maintain excellent academic standards through research and innovation by utilizing modern teaching aids and technologies., To encourage and promote faculty members for advanced research and teaching methods., To inspire and prepare students to compete at national and international platforms of academics, arts and sports., To inculcate the Indian heritage and culture and to instill moral values of life., To extend the services of the institution for the betterment of the society.
