Department Of Biotechnology Department of Biotechnology was established in the year 2007. We have well equipped lab with all experimental kits for isolation of DNA (plant & microorganisms). The conventional breeding methods are the most widely used for crop improvement. But plant tissue culture techniques increase the efficiency of plant, which is not possible through the conventional methods. The term tissue culture is invitro culture of plant cells, tissues as well as organs in a synthetic medium under controlled aseptic conditions. It has a wide range of applications like micropropagation, production of disease resistant plants & secondary metabolites etc. To give an idea for the students about the techniques of tissue culture, our college Biotechnology & Botany Department have estabilished the Tissue culture lab & Green house
