Bachelor of Technology (BTech Agriculture)

The Bachelor of Technology in Agriculture Engineering (B.Tech.Agriculture Engineering), is four years an Undergraduate Agriculture Engineering Degree study course in India. The study of Agriculture Engineering is the discipline that applies engineering science and technology to agricultural production and processing it's a combination of the discipline of Animal Biology, Plant Biology, and Mechanical, Chemical Engineering Principles with the knowledge and skill of agricultural principles. The course is designed to develop candidates with desired attributes and logical thinking, ability to deals with people diplomatically, and patience, ability to keep calm under pressure and in inevitable crises, creativity, and flexibility to understand and apply new technology.The study provides skills of consultancy services to agricultural works and farming and agro-industries. The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Principles and Techniques in an academic discipline such as Material Science, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, Soil Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Material Science, Computer Programming, Kinematics and Dynamics, Surveying and Levelling, Agriculture Engineering Structures & Rural Engineering, Post Harvest Engineering, Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Building Materials and Structural Design, Pumps Engineering & Hydraulic Control, Groundwater and Well Engineering, Dairy & Food Processing Operations.

Eligibility

The candidate has to pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Education with Science Stream with additional subjects like Biology, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Bachelor Degree study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

This course requires study requires 4 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning study option to earn this degree.

Further Study

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do M.Tech (Agriculture Engineering), or do specialization and the research-oriented course in their respective field.
