Best of Two Scores Policy

Candidates who appear for both Session 1 and Session 2 enjoy the advantage of the best score consideration. The admissions committee automatically considers the highest score obtained between the two sessions when compiling the merit list and determining eligibility for degree allotment across Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses.

Tie-Breaking Rules for BITSAT Merit Ranking

If two or more candidates achieve identical total scores in BITSAT, ties are resolved using the following sequential criteria:

• 1st Priority: Higher score in Mathematics (for B.E.) or Biology (for B.Pharm.).
• 2nd Priority: Higher score in Physics.
• 3rd Priority: Higher score in Chemistry.
• 4th Priority: Higher aggregate percentage of marks in PCM/PCB in the Class 12 board examination.

Admission Iterations & Seat Allotment

Admission counseling is conducted online across multiple Iteration Rounds (Iteration I, II, III, IV, V, VI). Candidates submit their campus and branch preferences alongside Class 12 board marks. Seat allotments are released iteration-by-iteration, allowing students to accept, pay admission fees, or wait for automatic branch sliding/upgradation.
