CMAT Cutoff 2027: Qualifying Benchmarks and Institute Trends
No CMAT 2027 cutoff has been announced. NTA conducts the examination and reports candidate scores; participating institutions set the score or percentile thresholds used for their own shortlists. There is no single CMAT cutoff that guarantees admission to every MBA or management programme.
What determines an institution's cutoff?
- Number of seats, applications and the score distribution in the current cycle.
- Programme demand, campus and the institution's selection policy.
- Academic eligibility, work experience, interview or group-assessment performance and other selection components.
- Reservation policy, category rules and applicable government or institutional regulations.
- Whether an institution uses overall score, percentile, section scores or additional criteria.
Qualifying benchmark versus admission cutoff
A minimum eligibility condition or qualifying score, if specified by NTA or an institution, is not necessarily the competitive shortlist cutoff. Institutions may change thresholds between programmes and admission years. Always read the current prospectus and shortlist notice rather than treating a historical estimate as an official benchmark.
How to review category-wise trends
Compare only published, institution-specific data for the same programme and admission cycle. Confirm the category definitions, whether a figure is a minimum eligibility mark or an actual shortlist threshold, and whether the score is expressed as marks or percentile. Do not infer a future threshold from a previous year's unofficial table. The CMAT 2027 institution-level cutoffs and category-wise trends will become available only when participating institutions publish them.
