NID DAT Cutoff and Qualifying Benchmarks
NID's official 2027–28 cutoff or qualifying benchmark had not been announced on the portal page checked on 11 October 2026. Cutoffs and shortlist thresholds can change by stage, programme, category, campus, seat availability and candidate performance. Do not treat a previous year's score or an unofficial prediction as a guaranteed qualifying mark.
Factors that can affect selection benchmarks
- Number of applicants and performance distribution in the relevant programme and stage.
- Programme/campus seat capacity and the applicable category-wise reservation rules.
- Separate Prelims shortlisting and Mains evaluation criteria.
- Current NID policy, tie-breaking rules and any published minimum qualification requirement.
How to interpret category-wise trends
When comparing published historic results, use the same programme, stage, category and type of score wherever possible. NID may publish a rank list, merit position or shortlist rather than a single universal cutoff. Only the current handbook and official result notice establish the 2027–28 qualifying criteria.
