NIFT Result 2027: Scorecard Download Link, Merit List, AIR & Counselling Process
The NIFT Result 2027 is announced in two phases: the Stage 1 Written Examination Result (shortlisting candidates for Situation Test and GD/PI), followed by the Final NIFT Merit Result & Scorecard which publishes the candidateโs All India Rank (AIR) and Common Merit Rank (CMR).
How to Check NIFT 2027 Result & Scorecard
- Visit the official portal: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/.
- Click on the link titled "NIFT 2027 Scorecard / Result".
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
- Submit the details to view your official NIFT Scorecard on screen.
- Download and print multiple copies of the scorecard for the upcoming seat allocation and counselling process.
Details Mentioned on NIFT Scorecard
- Candidate Information: Name, Roll Number, Application Number, Category, Date of Birth.
- Sectional Marks: Scaled scores obtained in General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT).
- Stage 2 Marks: Situation Test marks (B.Des) or GD/PI marks (PG courses).
- Total Weighted Score: Final normalized composite score out of 100.
- Ranks: Common Merit Rank (CMR) and Category Rank (All India Rank for OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD).
- Qualification Status: Confirmation of eligibility for NIFT Centralized Seat Allocation.
Stage 2: Situation Test & GD/PI
Candidates shortlisted after Stage 1 must participate in Stage 2 evaluation:
- Situation Test (for B.Des): A 2-hour hands-on practical exam held at NIFT campuses where candidates construct a 3D physical model using a specific kit of materials (wire, clay, cardboard, cloth, thermocol, etc.) accompanied by a write-up explaining the design concept.
- Group Discussion & Personal Interview (for PG Courses): GD of 15โ20 minutes on a contemporary topic followed by an individual interview assessing creative aptitude, personality, and career aspirations.
Tie-Breaking Criteria for NIFT Final Ranking
If two or more candidates obtain identical aggregate scores, ties are resolved in the following sequential order:
- Higher marks in CAT: Candidate with higher score in Creative Ability Test is ranked higher.
- Higher marks in GAT: Candidate with higher marks in General Ability Test is given preference.
- Section-wise GAT priority: Higher marks in English Comprehension, followed by Analytical Ability.
- Candidate Age: The candidate who is older in age is awarded the higher rank.
