Located in PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology was established as an unaided college in 1985 under the parent Institute PVG., PVGCOET is affiliated Savitribai Phule Pune University, approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and by Government of Maharashtra., PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune is one of the reputed engineering colleges in the state of Maharashtra. I am proud to mention that PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune is awarded with ‘A’ grade in second cycle of National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore. College is also the recipient of Engineering Education Excellence Award-2015 by Indo Global Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture. During the 7th Higher Education and HR Summit result of Digital Learning Ranking for the academic year 2018 was declared. PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune received the Certificate of Recognition by receipt of the prestigious award titled- Top Private Engineering Institute. PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune had processed its application for National Institute Ranking Framework for the academic year 2018-19. It has also applied for the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements., Virtual Labs is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT). PVG’s COET is designated as Virtual Labs Nodal Centre (VLNC) by IITB, Mumbai on 9th March 2015. Faculty members and students of this college had played a key role in the development of large number of virtual labs in association with Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Powai. This center is now upgraded as Virtual Lab Regional Center. Many virtual lab development training activities are organized through this regional center. PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune is designated Remote Center of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Powai. During last five years 10 Faculty Development Programs are organized by this college in association with expert’s faculty members working at IIT, Bombay and IIT, Kharagpur., Product Innovation Laboratory is established during the academic year 2017-18 is association with 3DPLM Software Solutions Ltd, Pune and Dassault System France. Around 115 students are working in this laboratory for various inter-disciplinary projects. This activity empowers our students to enhance their employability and also for start-ups. PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune received the best participating team award by Dassault System, since highest numbers of teams (12 Nos) have participated from this college in Akurti- the National Level Design Competition for the academic year 2018-19. It has happened due to various inter-disciplinary projects undertaken by the Product Innovation Lab., E-yantra Laboratory is developed in association with IIT, Bombay. The facility developed in this laboratory supports our students to participate in national and international levels competitions in the field of Robotics and Control., Texas Instruments a multi-national company had set up Texas Center of Excellence in seven locations in Savitribai Phule Pune University. PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune is the first private unaided engineering college of Savitribai Phule Pune University, who received an equipment grant from Texas Instruments., Dr.M.Katakkar Post-Graduate Research Laboratory is established during the academic year 2017-18. Major research activities useful for start-ups are planned to get initiated in this laboratory., Equipment required for the establishment of Late Mrs.Jyotsna Arvind Mhaskar and Late Principal Dr.Avinash Valavade Smart Class Room are procured by PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune. After complete installation of set-up, the lectures delivered by faculty members and experts from outside will get recorded and will be made available through mobile application developed through the learning management system of I-Bus. Memorandum of understanding with I-bus Corporation Private Limited, is signed by our college., PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune is one of the few institutions selected by M/s Atlas Copco Limited, Pune for the award of scholarship. Kruttika Scholarship worth Rs.50,000/- is given to third year lady topper in Electrical Engineering discipline. Direct recruitment of this candidate is done by M/s Atlas Copco Limited., Avery Dennison Foundation had selected a few reputed engineering colleges from all over India for participation in the national level innovative project competition under the scheme of Spirit of Invention. Selected students get one time scholarship worth $1300/- one time scholarship. This activity is continued since the academic year 2012. Till date 14 students are the recipient of this scholarship., PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune has received empanelment by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA). This college has established 7.2 kW Solar PV systems. Low voltage DC system is also developed as student’s project. This college is a Life Member of the Maharashtra Non-Conventional Energy Producer’s Association. To make aware of various projects related to solar energy to our students- Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Solar Products and Services is organized by PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune during January 2019 and February 2019 in association with Udogvardhini Santha, Nashik., Memorandum of Understanding is signed by PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune with Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival (KVIFF). It is the only Indian festival of its kind which combines film screenings and allied activities related to environment, wildlife, energy, air, and water. KVIFF is an innovative attempt to explore nature and analyze topical issues related to the environment. It presents an opportunity to evolve on a common platform, to work towards providing effective and meaningful communication material; for preserving our great natural heritage. The message of the festival is to preserve, protect and save the earth for generation next., During the festival, National and International films on environment, wildlife and energy are screened coupled with allied activities such as discussions on the subject with experts, policy makers and society at large. Since last five years our faculty members and students actively participate in this festival. PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune received the third prize of the academic year 2018-19. Faculty members of this college are actively involved in PUC drives, E-waste management, renewable energy projects and many other activities..
