Symbiosis Institute of Design is a constituent Institute of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University), established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 vide notification No. 9-12/2001-U.3 dated 10th November 2006 of UGC, Government of India., Symbiosis Institute of Design presently offers an Under-Graduate programme in Design and is under the 'Faculty of Media, Communication and Design' of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University)., The undergraduate programme in design is of four years duration, 200 credit degree programme and the degree offered by the SI(DU) is Bachelor of Design (B.
