Admission to the PG Course is made from the Merit prepared on the basis of a NIA Joint PG Entrance Test of Objective Type conducted by NIA and IPGTRA for which Notification is made on all India basis in leading National Dailies and also on the Websites of National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur and Institute for Post Graduate Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (IPGTRA). The Notification is normally issued in March-April.

The Institute is engaged in Teaching, Clinical and Research at Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate and PhD level and is affiliated to Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur Admission to UG Course of BAMS is done on the basis of an All India Entrance Test conducted by the University. Admission to PG Course is made on the basis of an All India Joint PG Entrance Test conducted by NIA and IPGTRA (alternatively).

The PG Course, MD (Ayurved) or Ayurved Vachaspati is of 3 years duration divided into two Parts.
At present the Institute is imparting the Post-graduate course in the following 14 subjects:

Ph.D ( Ayurveda Varidhi)
A regular PhD Course with 2 fellowships is available in the 9 subjects.

Eligibility Criteria

Ayurveda Vachaspati MD/MS(Ayurveda)
- Pass in BAMS and Completion of Internship

- The candidate should have passed BAMS degree in any discipline from the National Institute of Ayurveda or any other recognised university.

- The minimum eligibility marks of the entrance test for admission in the cases of general & OBC candidates shall be 50% of the total marks and 40% in the case of candidates belonging to the Schedule Castes & Schedule Tribes.

Regular Fellowship - Ph.D.(Ayurveda)
MD/MS (Ayu.) in the Subject concerned.

Application Fee

NIA JPGET Exam Dates
Application fee for General & OBC Candidates Rs.1250/-
Application fee for SC/ST Candidates Rs. 900/-

Paper Pattern

- The written Test of 100 marks will consist of one common written test of MCQ of one mark each as prescribed by C.C.I.M. and every wrong answer will be awarded 1/4th negative mark. All ambiguous questions will be awarded marks in proportion to the marks obtained by the candidate.

- The duration of the Entrance Examination will be 1 hour:

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.

From the Merit of an all India Entrance Test conducted by Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur. The Notification for Entrance Test is published in Newspapers on all India level and also on the Websites of the University and NIA.

Regular Fellowship - Ph.D.(Ayurveda)
Through a Screening Test and Interview conducted by Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur. The Notification for Admission is published in Newspapers on all India level and also on the Websites of the University and NIA.
