About HPBOSE
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) came into existence in the year 1969 with its headquarters in Shimla. Later it shifted to Dharamshala in the year 1983. The board is responsible for conducting the examinations for classes 8, 10, 12, J.B.T and T.T.C. It is also responsible for prescribing syllabus, course of instructions and textbooks for school education. Himachal Pradesh open board was formed under the auspices of the HP Board of School Education. Secondary education started functioning in 2011-12. Middle and senior secondary started functioning in 2012-13.
