The main campus of Meerut College situated opposite the District Courts is spread over an area of 50 acres this Campus has academic departments, laboratories, central library, administrative block, 3 hostels and other supporting facilities.The second campus of the institution – Bhamashah Park (Victoria Park) covers an area of 32 acres has grounds for cricket, hockey, football, volleyball, badminton, lawn tennis etc. Besides these, this campus also has a huge open air stadium, 2 swimming pools, one boys' hostel and residential accomodation for teaching staff.The college has five faculties, viz, Science, Arts, Commerce, Law and Education. It has a faculty of highly qualified 196 full time and more than 100 part time teachers.The college has well equipped laboratories, a very rich central library, computer centre and Infonet center., Introducing Meerut, Meerut has been a legendary city of cultural and spiritual importance all through the history of India. It is inhabited by people of heterogeneous castes and creeds. The first war of independence started from Meerut Cantt on 10th May’1857. The Meerut City is 65 km north of New Delhi. It is well connected by train and bus service. The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. The famous Roman Catholic Church of Asia at Sardhana is about 20 km from Meerut. Hastinapur a famous centre of Jain Temples and pilgrimage is 36 km from Meerut city.The region experiences extreme climatic conditions. In summers (April – July) temperature goes upto 42°C and in winters (Nov – Feb) the temperature is about 4°C. The months of August and September experience heavy rains., Meerut College is a Grant –in-aid College affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. It is recognized by University Grants Commission, New Delhi under section 2f. The College is managed by Meerut College Managing Committee. Dr. N.P Singh is Principal of the College. Sh.
