A., M.Phil, Ph.D (JNU) is a renowned Social Scientist, Development Expert and professional Historian of International repute. He is also a specialist on designing and conducting of varieties of training programme with regard to socio-economic issues. He started his career in academics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University as Research Associate in 1991. He joined V.V. Giri National Labor Institute, Noida (U.P.) as Researcher in 1992 and subsequently worked with Bachpan Bachao Andolan & Global March against Child Labor, New Delhi as Executive Director. In 1996 he joined Department of Higher Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh as Lecturer & Head of the Department of History. In 2003 Dr. Rao was appointed by Association for Voluntary Actions as Chief Coordinator SACCS-BBA Core Project., Currently he is working with Mewar Institute of Management, Ghaziabad (U.P.) as a Director. Besides he has been also associated with a host of academic as well as development organizations. Dr. Rao has acquired great expertise on contemporary Social and Economic problems such as human migration child/bonded Labor, Gender related issues, Internal Security, Terrorism Tribal Culture, History of North East India, and Medieval Agrarian Economy of Rajasthan. He was awarded Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Fellowship by Indian Council of Historical Research at the Centre for Historical studies Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi. Dr. Rao also secured Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture Govt. of India New Delhi. He has successfully completed several major research and action oriented projects supported by Government of India, non-government organizations, Industry and individual donors. He has also organized and Participated in several national and international seminars, workshops and symposiums. His two books entitled Rural Economy and Society (2002) and Tribal Culture, Faith History and Literature (2006) have been published with huge circulation at International level. His third book Origin, Migration and History: A study on the Tutsas of North East India is in Press. Besides this a large number of research papers authored by him are published in reputed national and international academic journals, magazines and news papers. His comments on contemporary socio-economic and political problems and international affairs are posted by reputed media websites and news papers. He is a member of North East India History Association (NEIHA), Indian History Congress (IHC) and Institute of North East India Studies, Kolkata. Dr. Rao is fortunate to have working experience with the State and Central Government, Industry, Co-Operative Sector, Colleges and Universities andlopment Organizations..
