About Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2026

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is the computer-based entrance test used for admission to selected M.B.A. programmes offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU). The Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS) administers the test. Candidates must separately apply to each SIU programme they want to be considered for; taking SNAP or obtaining a high score does not guarantee admission.

SNAP 2026 registration is open. The official registration and payment deadline is 25 November 2026. The three test sessions are on 13, 19 and 26 December 2026, and results are scheduled for 12 January 2027. SNAP 2026 scores are valid for selected SIU programmes for the 2027-28 academic year. Details below were checked against the official SNAP website and 2026 registration portal on 9 October 2026; the official bulletin and candidate's admit card take precedence if instructions change.

Eligibility criteria

For SNAP-linked M.B.A. admission, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution, normally with at least 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade (45% for candidates in the SC/ST category). Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor's degree may apply, subject to completing the degree and meeting the required marks by the deadline set for admission. Check the current bulletin and the eligibility rules of every selected SIU programme; programme-specific requirements may differ. SNAP registration itself does not establish eligibility for every course.

SNAP 2026 fees

The official portal lists a SNAP registration fee of INR 2,550 per test, with applicable government taxes extra. Candidates may take up to three tests and pay the fee for each test selected. A separate, non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of INR 1,000 per programme, plus applicable taxes, is payable for each SIU programme. A SNAP test fee alone does not register a candidate for an M.B.A. programme. Confirm the payable total and programme-specific deadlines in the official portal before payment.

Exam pattern and marking scheme

The published SNAP format is a 60-minute objective computer-based test with 60 questions. The section distribution below is retained from IndCareer's migrated SNAP syllabus and should be checked against the linked 2026 bulletin for any revised instructions. The 2026 registration portal confirms up to three attempts and use of the higher test score for the final percentile without normalization. The standard pattern awards one mark for a correct response and deducts 0.25 mark for an incorrect response; unanswered questions do not attract a penalty.

SNAP 2026 important dates

The official portal lists registration and payment closing on 25 November 2026; admit-card availability on 7, 11 and 18 December for SNAP 01, 02 and 03 respectively; test dates on 13, 19 and 26 December; and result declaration on 12 January 2027. Test timings and venue details are communicated on the candidate's admit card. Individual SIU programmes may have different programme-registration deadlines.

Legacy IndCareer material remains available at routes such as /en/siu-snap, /en/siu-snap-syllabus and /en/siu-snap-question-papers. Those older pages contain cycle-sensitive estimates and inconsistent pattern details, so their current-cycle claims have not been carried forward as official facts. Their historical routes are redirected to the corresponding SNAP module pages.
