SNAP Cutoff: SIU Programme Benchmarks and Selection
There is no single SNAP cutoff that guarantees admission to every SIU programme. Individual institutes and programmes determine their own shortlisting benchmarks and final selection rules. The SNAP authority's score and percentile are only part of the admission process; the relevant programme's eligibility, category rules, available seats and post-test evaluation may also apply.
What can determine a programme cutoff?
- Number and performance of applicants to the particular programme and campus.
- Programme-specific seat availability, eligibility and shortlisting policy.
- Applicable category and reservation rules under the institute's current admission policy.
- Whether the published figure is an initial shortlist benchmark, minimum eligibility condition or final merit measure.
- Other assessed components, including the institute's Group Exercise and Personal Interaction process.
Qualifying benchmarks and category-wise trends
A qualifying condition is not necessarily the competitive cutoff used to shortlist candidates. Cutoffs can vary substantially across SIU institutes, programmes, years and categories. No category-wise 2026-27 cutoff is presented as confirmed here before each institute publishes it. Compare official notices for the same programme, admission year, category and score/percentile measure; historical or third-party estimates are context only and are not admission guarantees.
How to use past figures
Use previous-year data only to understand broad competition. Confirm the source and metric, then monitor the target institute's official shortlist and admission notices. Meet programme eligibility and complete each required selection step even if your score appears above a reported historical threshold.
