CLAT PG Cutoff 2027: Qualifying Benchmarks and Trends
The Consortium does not publish one universal CLAT PG score that guarantees admission to every NLU. A candidate's admission outcome depends on the official merit position and the seat-allotment rules for each university and counselling round. Do not treat a past closing rank or unofficial prediction as a 2027 guarantee.
Factors that determine admission cutoffs
- Number and performance of candidates and the score distribution.
- Seat count and course availability at each participating NLU.
- Reservation rules, domicile or other seat categories where applicable.
- Candidate preferences, withdrawals, upgrades and movement across counselling rounds.
- Document verification and satisfaction of the LL.B. eligibility requirements.
Qualifying benchmark versus admission cutoff
The PG eligibility minimum is 50% in the LL.B. degree or equivalent, reduced to 45% for SC, ST and PwD candidates. This is an academic eligibility condition, not a CLAT entrance-score cutoff. The Consortium's question format specifies 120 marks with negative marking but does not publish a single entrance score guaranteeing admission. Refer to official merit lists and round-wise allotment notices for actual outcomes.
Category-wise trends
Closing ranks can vary by NLU, category, seat type and counselling round. Compare like-for-like official allotment data only, and note the year, programme, category and round. Reservation policies may be university-specific and can change; confirm them in the current NLU admission notice rather than generalising one year's trend.
