CLAT PG Previous Year Question Papers and Pattern
Past question papers help candidates practise legal reading, passage analysis, time management and application of substantive law. They also reveal how primary materials are framed into objective questions. Use them as practice rather than assuming that an older paper's format or syllabus will remain unchanged.
CLAT PG 2027 paper pattern
- 120 objective multiple-choice questions, carrying one mark each.
- Maximum score: 120 marks; duration: two hours.
- Negative marking: 0.25 mark for each incorrect response.
- Questions use legal extracts, including court decisions, statutes or regulations, and test comprehension, legal awareness, summary and application.
The historic IndCareer archive contains separate LL.M. question-paper article URLs for 2008 through 2018. Those legacy addresses now redirect to this CLAT PG paper hub. When the Consortium releases an official paper, response sheet or key, use the current CLAT 2027 portal and retain the year and version when comparing materials.
How to locate and use papers
- Check the Consortium's official CLAT portal and candidate login for released papers, sample papers, answer keys or downloadable notices.
- Confirm whether a document is for UG or PG and note its exam year before practising.
- Attempt a timed paper in a two-hour session and apply the official +1/-0.25 scheme when scoring.
- Review every answer against the relevant source material and official final key where available.
